Pancakes

We had pancakes for breakfast today, they were delicious but not a bit like I imagined. They were flat and cakes aren’t usually flat, but they were made in a pan. They had an excellent pattern on them, very giraffey (i couldn’t see any bow tie shapes though!). I quite liked the way you rolled them up to eat, but you had to keep a eye on the end you weren’t eating from, incase some of the topping fell out. That was something else I didn’t expect, cakes normally come pre dressed, you don’t add things on yourself just before you’re about to eat them, not that it wasn’t good fun loading them up! Maybe they are called cakes because one time someone was making a cake and they accidentally dropped loads of milk in. Maybe a better description for them would be ‘flat batter yummy things which you roll up’, have you got any ideas?
