Pillow/cushion audit
After seeing Bagpuss at the V&A Museum of Childhood yesterday, looking very cosy I have started work on an audit of my own soft furnishings. I have identified my main headings:
- body:cushion ratio one needs a quarter of the surface area of the cushion to be free, preferably all around the edge
- bounce factor if one is intending to nap an analysis (a detailed examination of something) of its springiness is essential, nothing to spring if you are wanting to nap
- plumping maintenance think about the time required to upkeep your cushion
- long neck or tail consideration if one has an especially long frame or other appendage (sticky out bit) it is important there is sufficient support
- colour this is only really a thought if one is intending to nap and one needs to blend in to surrounding areas so as not to look too obvious!
Taking these things into consideration I will be making a detailed account of my current cushion supply, I will let you know the results when I have them
