The first ever (but hopefully not the last) BIG bow tie draw took place at the V&A Museum of Childhood 26th-30th October 2015. It was fantastic to see so many people getting into the spirit of colouring and having fun and what’s more decorate a number of railings at the museum, maybe in a few years time we will be able to cover all of the railings?! They have given me lots of ideas and I will be using some of particular favourites (at the bottom of the page) to design some new bow ties, then I will have to see if Caroline can make them for me.
If you weren’t there this is how it worked:
You take one of these
and one of these
use some of these or these
(and occasionally you’ll get some of these)
but then, you get all of these…..
which roughly makes some yellow ones, pink ones
blue ones, purple ones, green ones and some with a touch of black
then there’s striped, spotty and dotty
then chequed and patterned
there’s were ones with faces and add on bits (like hair and ears!)
then animal ones and other creatures and ones with drawing
there were minimilist (which means there’s not too much on them)
there were miscellaneous (this means things that are put together that are all different sorts)
and then there were abstract (which means being an idea and not having a definite form)
and finally my personal favourites
The end! (or is it just the beginning?………….
